Winter list · from 29 September to Easter

Colette's bar

You come in for one drink and stay for the next round. No need to eat to sit down: that is what the counter and the terrace are for.

Beer tap and its Colette medallion, Chez Colette in Chauvigny
Behind this bar, Matthieu is the one pouring.

When to come for a drink

Tuesday to Friday 9.30am-3pm and 5.30pm-9.30pm, Saturday 8am-10pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. Between lunch and dinner the bar stays open: the kitchen takes a break, the beer tap does not.

The bar, in the heart of Chauvigny

In the lower town, at the foot of the medieval city, the counter at Chez Colette is a place where you lose track of time. It feels like a neighbourhood bistro, friendly without being loud: a coffee on market morning, a draught beer on the terrace in the afternoon, a spritz to share before dinner. Prices are below, opening hours just above, and the address is easy to find: 2 rue du Petit Pont. Booking only matters for a group.

The questions

Can we come just for a drink?

Yes, it is a bar first and foremost. Nobody will ask you to order food to stay.

Do you serve pints?

Yes, all three draught beers come in 25 cl and in pints.

What about the summer list?

It comes back with the fine weather, and the glasses change with it. So does this page.
