How it works

By telephone, and that is all: no app, no online basket, no platform taking its cut on the way. You call, you say what you would like and when you will come by, and we tell you straight away whether it can be done. At service time the kitchen is cooking for the room as well - hence the phone call rather than a form that cannot answer back.

Then you swing by to collect and you pay there. How long it takes depends on the hour and on what you ordered, so we are not going to promise you a number at random: you get it on the phone, and it is kept.

What travels

Everything on the menu, at noon and at night. At lunch, the whole set menu - starter, main, dessert - or the main on its own when time is short. In the evening, the plates and the boards meant for sharing, the ones we set down in the middle of the table. The Wednesday Apérosé too, pinsa and bottle included.

It is the same kitchen and the same care as in the room: a real chef, traditional French cooking, local produce picked fresh for its quality. What changes is the box, not the plate.

The menu changes every week, because it follows the morning market: what is fresh in the morning ends up on the plate at lunch. So it is this week's menu to look at before you call, not a list frozen three years ago. The choice is whatever the week has brought.

Catering and receptions are for later: we send meals out, not buffets, for now.

Coming to collect

The address is 2 rue du petit pont, right in the middle of Chauvigny, at the foot of the medieval city. The market square starts at the end of our street. Parking is two steps away and it is free: you park without stress, even for five minutes.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 9.30pm, and from 8am on Saturday. The kitchen itself serves from noon to 2pm and from 6pm to 9.30pm: those are the windows in which a dish gets cooked. In between, the bar stays open.

Saturday is market day and there is no set lunch: from 11am it is proper plates and dishes to share, which travel as well. We tell that whole day in detail.
