Food to take away
Everything on the menu can be eaten at your place too. One phone call, we get it ready, you swing by - at noon and at night, Tuesday to Saturday. We do not deliver: you come to us, and parking is free two steps away.
How it works
By telephone, and that is all: no app, no online basket, no platform taking its cut on the way. You call, you say what you would like and when you will come by, and we tell you straight away whether it can be done. At service time the kitchen is cooking for the room as well - hence the phone call rather than a form that cannot answer back.
Then you swing by to collect and you pay there. How long it takes depends on the hour and on what you ordered, so we are not going to promise you a number at random: you get it on the phone, and it is kept.

Tell us what you want and when you are coming by; we say straight away whether it works, and the time we give you is kept.
What travels
At lunch, the whole set menu - starter, main, dessert - or the main on its own when time is short. In the evening, this winter: the raclette, the lamb shank, the charcuterie board and the salads. The fondue, the pierrade, the Mont d'Or and the tartiflette are for eating in.
It is the same kitchen and the same care as in the room: a real chef, traditional French cooking, local produce picked fresh for its quality. What changes is the box, not the plate.
The menu changes every week, because it follows the morning market: what is fresh in the morning ends up on the plate at lunch. So it is this week's menu to look at before you call, not a list frozen three years ago. The choice is whatever the week has brought.

The address is 2 rue du petit pont, right in the middle of Chauvigny, at the foot of the medieval city. The market square starts at the end of our street. Parking is two steps away and it is free: you park without stress, even for five minutes.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 3pm, then from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, and on Saturday from 8am to 10pm straight through. The kitchen itself serves from 12pm to 2pm and from 6pm to 9.30pm: those are the windows in which a dish gets cooked.
Saturday is market day: we open from 8am, the set lunch is served like any other day, and it travels as well. We tell that whole day in detail.

Do you deliver?
No. No delivery, neither by us nor through a platform: meals are collected here. We would rather say it plainly than let you find out on the phone.
Can I take away at lunch and at night?
Yes, both services. The set menu at lunch; in the evening, this winter, the raclette, the lamb shank, the board and the salads. On Sunday and Monday, though, the house is closed.
Do I need to book to take away?
No booking, but do call ahead: that is the difference between waiting at a table and leaving straight away. At the lunchtime rush it is the only way to be quick.
Do you do platters for a group?
The charcuterie board travels, and it is made for several people. For a proper buffet or a reception, that is not on the cards yet - call, and we will tell you where we stand.
Where do I park to collect?
Parking is two steps from the restaurant, and it is free. On Saturday morning the market takes over the town centre, so expect a few more people about.

Très belle découverte. Que ce soit sur le plan culinaire avec des asociations de saveurs sur des plats simples, ou sur les vins, le nouveau propriétaire des lieux n’est pas avare de nous partage son très joli projet de partage gastronomique. Hâte d’y revenir bientôt..!

Allez-y les yeux fermés ! Super adresse que nous avons testé ce midi pour une table de 15. L'ambiance est très sympa, chaleureuse et la cuisine fait maison est très bonne. Le poisson du jour...un délice ! Nous avons hâte de revenir tester les tapas le soir. Dommage que nous soyons si loin mais c'est une super cantine pour les locaux !
