On the table, the winter menu
On the table: the winter menu, made for sharing. Fondue, raclette, pierrade, Mont d'Or, set down in the middle, and everyone helps themselves. The menu and the price are settled with you, according to the number and the occasion.
Traditional, convivial cooking, with fresh produce chosen for its quality as it is the rest of the year. For whoever does not eat cheese, the menu keeps a pierrade, an entrecôte of proper meat, a lamb shank or a generous salad: nobody is forced. And at lunch, Tuesday to Saturday, the set lunch carries on, rewritten every week from the market.
A big table in the heart of Chauvigny
In the lower town, in the heart of Chauvigny (Vienne), twenty-five metres from the market square, Chez Colette has two dining rooms with an offbeat decor, La Bibliothèque and Le Boudoir, a bar and a terrace. The setting is warm, the welcome without ceremony, and the mood that of a neighbourhood bistro: you start with an aperitif at the counter, a draught beer, a spritz or a cocktail, then move to the table to discover the cooking and enjoy the evening. The service follows the table, not the clock.
Tuesday to Friday 9.30am-3pm and 5.30pm-9.30pm, Saturday 8am-10pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. The address is easy to find: 2 rue du Petit Pont, 86300 Chauvigny, twenty-five minutes from Poitiers on the D951.

Both, Tuesday to Saturday: the set lunch at midday, the winter menu in the evening. On Sunday and Monday the restaurant is closed.
